Hey Everyone,

Just writing to let you know that Dads website has now gone live! You can visit it by the links on the right or going to http://www.petertunbridge.com

Please let me know what you think, either by email or in the comments. Im trying to make it as user friendly and informative as I can.

As some of you may know he has been writing a trilogy of books over the last couple of years called The Human Code. The first book has been published and is now also available for order through his website. I hope to have some sort of online purchasing up there eventually but for the moment its just a form to send in ordering it.

Sold!

Well, we have a house! After arriving back in the land of Aus we spent a couple of months looking around at houses and decided that the Western Suburbs were where we wanted to live. After stumbling across some new 'just add water' houses in the backlot of a 60's house we noticed a 'For Sale' sign on the sandstone 60's one. We decided to take and look and lo and behold we put in offer and won the house! Check out our pics here: Home Sweet Home Album

Settling In

Well, today its official. The holiday is over. Kristin has started work at Westpac today and Ill be heading down to pick her up when she has finished at 5 o'clock. Its amazing to think we have reached this point, but its also amazing to think of everything we have done prior to it!

The last 2 weeks have been actioned packed. I have almost got a job a few times (waiting on a phone call this arvo about another one I am really keen on), and as you know Kristin has secured a nice one at Westpac. I went to Clare and the Barossa with my family for a week and we have shot a small mockumentary looking for the Barossa Bunyip and the Clare Constabulary which I am editing away at. I am hoping to get some work experience with Kojo on Aug 4 aswell and have been getting interesting tips from one of the editors there over the last few weeks. The other main even is that Kristin and I had our engagement party on Sunday 20 July which was a huge success. Everyone seemed to have a lovely day and all I saw were smiles around as I worked the room. Kristin and I as still glowing from the nice things everyone had to say. And once again thankyou to everyone who came along, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! Ive put some photos up today from the afternoon so check them out.

My parents are off to Egypt in a couple of weeks for a month so Kristin will be coming up here to help look after things. Coops will be around too so we should be able to manage things fine. We have also got the ball rolling on finding a house by going to a few inspections on the weekend and speaking to a mortgage advisor. It seems like we should be in a fairly strong position to get a loan and we have a good strategy to start paying it off. Now I need a job and then we need a house! We have lots of things to put in it now from our party too, so it will be very exciting to find one and move in.

Its bloody cold though, yesterdays low was 0.7 degrees! So the fire is burning nicely at present as Im rugged up anxiously waiting for me phone call. We are off to see the Dark Knight tomorrow night too which I am extremely excited about. According to imdb.com its the best movie of all time: 9.3/10 after 127,000 votes.

Hope all is well with everyone, Guy

Home Sweet Home

Kristin this time - thought I better do a catch up....can't believe Guy and I left it so long since updating the website. I have to apologise, as our laptop died when we were in Sequoia and we were having way too much fun in Vegas to warrant spending time in an internet cafe.

Vegas....what a crazy place hey? It took me a good 6 months to even convince Guy to go as he had a picture of a tacky, Americanised cheap-and-nasty place in his mind. He couldn't have been more wrong! We both totally loved it. It's one of those places that you just can't describe. It has everything for everyone and you have to see it to believe it. The Casino's are out of this world, as is the shopping, entertainment, eating and atmosphere. We spent our days lazing by the pool, wandering from casino to casino, shopping and taking in the sights. I think my favourite Casino was Caesers, it was so grand and overwhelming with the marble floors and Italian influence. We spent a fair bit of time trying out the bars and restaurants by night, as well as trying our luck on the roulette wheel. I'm happy to report I came out about $70 up! We also saw a Cirque du Solei show based around The Beatles which was awesome, especially since we've both had a bit of a Beatles addiction after visiting Liverpool.

From Vegas we drove the convertible to Hoover Damn, then on to the Grand Canyon. For some reason it wasn't as overwhelming as I was expecting...I enjoyed Sequoia and Yosemite much more. Maybe because we had crap weather (it snowed!) and the colours weren't as vivid as in all the picture....and maybe because it was the first bank holiday weekend of the year for the U.S. so the place was heaving with tourists, but it just didn't amaze me.

We had one night left over before we had to head back to L.A. for that long flight home. Guy decided he loved Vegas so much that we should spend one last night there. So we booked in to a casino at lastminute.com and headed back to Sin City! It just so happened that our fave comedian, Robin Williams, was doing a one off show at the Mirage Casino that night, and we were lucky enough to score tickets. We have watched his live stand-up DVD about a million times so it was a huge thrill to see the man perform in person. If you ever get the opportunity, jump at it!

Anyways, Guy has done a catch up below on what we've been up to since getting home. I've been running and riding with dad heaps, and we even went down the coast for a night in the campervan which was tonnes of fun.

I Still Call Australia Home

Hi All,

Well Kristin and I have been settling back into Adelaide life quite well so far. Its a little odd being separated again with Kristin living down west with her folks again and Im up in the hills with my family. We catch up often though and have been getting into riding down to Glenelg and along the beach a lot. We have also been looking into engagement party things and talking about how a wedding will be put together but nothing is finalised yet. Both of us are job hunting at the moment aswell so we have recruitment agencies calling us each day helping us to find a job. I have had a few hopefuls come up this week so fingers crossed, but I think Kristin is finding it a little different as no one really does the high level banking stuff she was up to in London. Still we shall see how we go.

We are also looking into property too and learning how to best go about buying a property and what to look for and what we want out of it. Its been great to catch up with family and friends though and we have been pretty booked up lately. Tonight Richo has invited me around to play on his new PS3 which Im looking forward to :) Its nice to be doing fairly normal things for a change, and being able to drive again is wonderful! Even if Adelaide drivers have no understanding of courtesy or any of the road rules. There are also about 10 times more speed cameras around than three years ago, especially if you add up all the intersections with fixed traps! Its really becoming a bit of a nanny state... especially compared to the freedoms of London. No more drinking on the footpaths out the front of the pub. And no more 500ml pints :(

But life is good and interesting at the moment. I have met with a few media companies over the last couple of weeks too and found out a bit more on how the media/film industry works in Adelaide so I am starting to pursue that a bit more. I am working on another website where I can put a portfolio/show-reel together so if your interested have a look at http://www.perspectiveproductions.net Hope all is well where-ever you are! Guy

General Sherman - The Largest Living Thing on the Planet

Yosemite and Sequoia

Biking in Yosemite

Originally uploaded by Guy and Kristin

Hi Y'All,

We have had a great few days after picking up the car in San Fran and fairly easily driving on the wrong side of the road all the way to Yosemite National Park. It made a difference that the car was brand spaking new and only had 23miles on the clock. We stayed in a beautiful 'Tent Resort' called Yosemite Bug a few miles out from the actual park. The tent we stayed in was large and had a big comfy bed in it, which was freezing at night and hot during the day. This didnt bother us too much though as we were so tired at night we slept well and we were out hiking and biking and adventuring during the day.

The first day we had fun finding out how to put the top down on our convertible and cruising into Yosemite Park. We just had a look and marvelled at the massive granite face called El Capitan and then the beautiful half dome mountain. We also checked out all the walks we could do and what activities to try. I wanted to try the rock climbing but reckon I'll wait til Im back in Adelaide where I have a few people to go with as Kristin wasn't too keen.

The next day we went back in after a big yummy brekky and hired bikes. Off we went cruisin around on our bikes all day and enjoyed the beauty of Yosemite. We saw Mirror Lake and Lower Yosemite Falls, which is the 5th highest waterfall in the world. It was stinking hot in the afternoon, so we just lazed around, and then drove up to Granite point where we unfortnately missed the sunset, but still couldn't believe the incredible view over the whole valley.

Today we had a bit of a lie in, then got back in the car and cruised to Sequoia National Park, around 3 hours away. We wound our way up the mountain and found ourselves in the Giant Forrest where we saw the biggest living thing on planet Earth. It was incredible. The Sequoia tree, named General Sherman, is 84m high, 34m in diameter and over 2,200 years old. It was overwhelming to be in the presence of such a majestic living entity.

We then ventured to Hanging Rock, and onwards to Moro Point, which was another inspiring view over the National Park. And now here we are in our comfy motel on Highway 198, after a swim in the pool at sunset and a take out pizza. I've uploaded a fair few photo's, they really don't do Yosemite and Sequoia justice. Tomorrow we're on to Vegas baby!!!
